Omega-3 is a group of essential fatty acids that need to be added through our diet. 244 mg is the average daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids in the UK population, which is only a tenth of the average 2,000 mg daily dose necessary for a sufficient level of omega-3 in the body.
Fatty Acids Diagnostics
In a collaboration with the leading independent European lab for fatty acid analysis in the body (erythrocyte values) we offer healthcare professional and users the opportunity to measure individual omega-3 levels and omega-6/3-ratios.
Measure your fatty acid profile through a self-test: All that is needed is a few drops of blood from your fingertip (dry blood spot). The blood result is available after approx. 10-14 days after shipment of blood sample.
Analyse of your individual fatty acid profile with nutritional recommendations through a 5 page test report. The result totals 26 fatty acids and include your omega-3 index, omega-6/3 ratio and trans fat level.
Regulate imbalances: The average omega-6/3-ratio in the population is 15:1, while health experts recommend a balanced ratio of ca. 3:1. 2 g omega-3 daily is on average necessary to regulate an omega-3 deficit.
